Dr. Daniel Morínigo Rodríguez studied at the University of Alcalá (Spain), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English studies, two master’s degrees in foreign language teaching (Spanish and English, respectively) and a PhD in Spanish language teaching methodology (cum laude).
His research has focused primarily on postmethod pedagogy as applied to the teaching of Spanish. However, his interests branch out to other areas in the study of language, including language teaching methodology, pedagogy and applied linguistics.
Before coming to China, he worked as a predoctoral researcher at the University of Alcalá (UAH), where he assisted in the organization of academic seminars and collaborated in a variety of tasks within projects “Inmigra” and “La ense?anza de la lengua espa?ola a través de sus textos”, which are coordinated by the university’s research teams GIELEN and ELENyA.
Apart from his research endeavors, he has worked as a teacher of English and Spanish in various institutions, both in formal and informal contexts, as well as an administrator in educational organizations such as Oxford University Press and Cambridge English Assessment. Currently, Dr. Daniel Morínigo Rodríguez is an Associate Professor in WZBC, where he teaches various English language courses such as Spoken English, Business English Listening and Speaking, and Newspapers Reading. He is also a frequent guest in the English Corner and is involved in other extracurricular activities related to Spanish and English.
